The best way to see how the paint will work on the fabric you have chosen is to test it before beginning your work. Most acrylics will adhere nicely to fabrics, but paints such as gouache are a bitter more challenging to use. You need to understand the drying times of each type of paint you use to avoid compromising the artwork while it is still vulnerable to smudges.
